Lifton
Multi-layered: In a ¾” thickness most plywood has 4-5 layers. This plywood has 13.
Glue: A catalyzed waterproof glue is used and pads are pressed under 35-50 tons of pressure. Larger pads are pressed with as much as 140 tons.
Additional Holding Devices: Medium Duty (2”) have 18 coated deck screws- 9 from the top and 9 from the bottom. Super Strong (?) use 3/8” lag screws anywhere from 9 on the 24” pads to 32 on the 38” or 60” pads. Deluxe (?) use 3/8” carriage bolts and lock nuts- 14 or more.
Handles: The knot on rope handles is melted together and a screw and washer hold it in a countersunk hole. This makes it replaceable. Steel handles are solid and chrome plated. Chains are held in place with ½” “eye” bolts that penetrate all the way through the pad and have a double nut on the back side. These can only be used on the 12 sided 48” and 60” and the 42” and 52” pads.
Custom sizes are available.
All pads are soaked in Thompson’s Ultra Water Sealer.
